The Golden Girl's Celebration

Helena was clearly not keen to celebrate this particular birthday and we had all in to make anything special of it - but we tried!

Autumn Gold

O no, not again! Yet more gold metalwork.

Today saw a return to Edinburgh for another TeamGym Competition, with both Emily and Aidan in the Junior mixed team. In a close fought competition against a younger team from Crewe and Nantwich, Goole got the gold medal.

New trendy Emily

After 14 years and 11 months of never cutting her hair Emily has re-styled herself with a hair-do!

The frizz is gone, along with the bottom foot of her "tail", and a trendy teenager has emerged with straight hair and a fringe!

We'll try to get a better photo when she is not watching!

What, another silver medal?

Went down to Bracknell this weekend for another Gym comp.

Em and Aid were part of a micro-team (just 3 gymnasts), and despite everything they came home with a joint silver medal ... not bad considering everything.

Well done, kids!

19 Years she's put up with me

Yes, unbelievable but true, 19 years ago today we married at Swallownest Methodist Church, but the real celebration this year will be Helena's 50th on 24/11 (but don't tell her I let you know)

SATS results complete the good news for Em

Back to school in years 8 and 10. O what bliss.

As if we weren't thrilled enough with Emily's GCSE result an envelope arrived with her final (English) SATS result -a 6, meaning she has 7 (Maths), 7 (Science) and 6 (English), a very encouraging set of results - Well done Em!

An auspicious day - Aidan reaches the grand old age of 13 today.

Emily sat her 1st GCSE a full two year's early in June, in BITE. Her result... ???
